AI Voice Assist – Talkative

AI Voice Assist is Talkative's intelligent copilot for live voice calls. Which works silently alongside your agents from the moment a customer starts a call. It will transcribe the conversation in real time and use that transcript to show response suggestions using agent assist. All shown directly to the agent while the call is still in progress.

⚙️ Setting up your Voice Assist Config

Step 1: Access Voice Assist Configs

Via Settings in the left side menu, click ‘Voice Assist’ under ‘Feature Management’

Hit ‘Create Voice Assist Config’

Step 2: Complete Voice Assist Form

Add a queue label

Add a default first name

Select whether voice assist starts when the agent connects to the call

We recommend enabling this setting to reduce billing costs.

Select your preferred speech to text provider, this will load different settings for each provider.

Deepgram

Select what language you want to focus on

We recommend leaving this as multilingual if you deal with other languages occasionally.

Select the model you want to use

Generally speaking, you can leave these settings as default. These exist if you want to fine tune the transcription

Smart formatting will improve the formatting capibilites of deepgram to improve readibility.

Endpointing is the time deepgram will wait to detect any significant pause from the speaker, whether mid-sentence or at the end of one.

Utterance end is how deepgram goes about detecting the end of a complete thought or sentence after a word has been transcribed. It kicks in after speech has already been detected.

You can make these settings a default for the whole company.

Hit Create Copilot Config.

Google Speech

Select what language you want to focus on

Select the model you want to use

Use the toggle menu to select whether you want the AI to automatically infer the punctuation from the speaker

📞Adding Voice Assist to your Voice AI Bot

Step 1: Access Voice AI Config

Click ‘Voice Bots’ on the left hand menu.

Hit ‘Create Voice AI Bot’ or click on an existing config.

Step 2: Add Voice Assist to Bot

In the tools section, navigate to the transfer tool that has been configured.

Select the Voice Assist config from the dropdown.
