The Mitel Ignite Browser Extension enhances the experience for agents using Talkative with Mitel Ignite, ensuring a smoother workflow and preventing accidental call disruptions.
This extension is available for both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, and is highly recommended for all agents using Mitel Open Media.
💡 What the Extension Does
The extension improves the Mitel Ignite interface by:
- Hiding the “Hang Up” button in Open Media sessions, preventing agents from ending chats incorrectly.
- Agents should instead close interactions using the red X above the chat thread.
- Enabling optional diagnostic logging to send performance and issue reports securely back to Talkative Support.
Tip: If you’ve ever experienced accidental chat termination in Ignite, this extension prevents that by disabling the “Hang Up” button.
⚙️ How to Set Up the Extension
Step 1: Install the Extension
Chrome: Install from → Chrome Web Store
Edge: Install from → Microsoft Edge Add-ons
Once installed, the extension will appear in your browser toolbar as a Talkative icon.
Step 2: Open the Extension Manager
Click the Talkative icon in your browser toolbar. You’ll see the Talkative Extension Manager pop-up with available tools, including:
- Mitel Ignite Enhancements
- AI Email Assistant
Step 3: Add Your Mitel Domain
When you first open the extension, you’ll be prompted to Add Current Domain.
- Navigate to your Mitel Ignite environment in your browser (e.g.
https://ukmiccb.example.com).
- Open the extension and click Add Current Domain.
- The domain will now appear under Ignite Domains in the extension list.
Tip: If you work across multiple Mitel environments (such as testing and production), you can add more than one domain.
Step 4: Configured Settings
Under the Settings section, you can toggle optional controls for the extension, it should look like this:

✅ Hide Hangup Button | Removes the Hang Up button in Ignite to prevent chat termination errors. |
✅ Hide No Reply Button | Hides the “No Reply” button to simplify the chat UI. |
✅ Hide Junk Button | Removes the “Junk” button from the interface to prevent misclicks. |
☐ Run in iFrames | Enables compatibility if Ignite is embedded in an iFrame. Only use if your setup requires it. |
☐ Debug Mode | Enables diagnostic logging for troubleshooting (optional). |
Step 5: Verify the Extension Is Active
Once configured, reload your Mitel Ignite page.
- The “Hang Up” button will now be hidden for all Talkative interactions.
- The extension will automatically run whenever you access the configured domains.
You can reopen the Talkative Extension Manager anytime to view or modify your settings.
⚠️ Troubleshooting
If the extension doesn’t seem to be working:
1. Verify the Domain
- Open the extension and check under Ignite Domains.
- If no domain is listed, click Add Current Domain while you’re on your Ignite site.
2. Refresh or Restart the Browser
Sometimes Chrome/Edge requires a refresh before applying changes.
3. Check Permissions
If prompted, allow the extension to access your Mitel domain.
4. Remove and Reinstall
If issues persist, remove the extension and reinstall it from the official Chrome or Edge store links above.
