New Widget Editor Overview

The new chat widget editor allows you to customize themes, welcome cards, nudges, data collection forms, and visibility rules to control how your widget behaves based on user context. Please see the below video demonstrating the new widget editor




Video Summary:

Theme Editor

  • Change the chat widget’s colors and design

Welcome Cards

  • Set up formatting of the messages and buttons on the widget

    • Use the preview at the bottom to switch between cards

Card Visibility and Preview

  • Choose when each card appears using visibility rules

  • Rules can be based on queue status or URL

  • Use the preview simulation to test how the widget behaves in different conditions

Nudges

  • Nudges are small popups that guide or prompt users

    • Work like welcome cards (can include text, images, buttons)

  • You can also change where nudges appear and their style

  • Visibility rules apply here too

Data Collection Forms

  • Create forms to collect information from users

    • You can add fields like dropdowns, ratings, and text inputs

  • Forms can be linked to welcome cards or nudges

Language Strings

  • Update text across the chat widget (not tied to cards or nudges)

Chat Button

  • Customize the button users see when the widget is minimised

  • You can choose from a list or upload icons, and add optional text

Advanced Settings

  • Extra configuration options for specific use cases


    Please reach out to your customer success manager for additional support with these settings

Saving and Publishing

  • Save drafts anytime

  • Click publish to make your changes live
