Deploying Different Widgets Based on User Login Status

Modified on Tue, 10 Sep at 7:38 PM

Issue

You may need to show different versions of the Talkative widget to logged-in users and non-logged-in users. For example, you may want to show an updated widget with a chatbot option to logged-in users only.

Solution:

As the URL often doesn't change when a user logs in, you will need to work with your web developer to add a function to your website that can distinguish between logged-in and non-logged-in users. This function can then be used to trigger the display of different Talkative widgets based on the user's login status.

Once you have this functionality on your website, Talkative can help you create separate widget configurations to load for logged-in and non-logged-in users. This can be achieved using URL rules in Talkative's platform.
